Living for God's Pleasure
The pandemonium of juggling everything in this age of literally unobstructed accessibility of pleasurable things to the flesh and instant gratification, leaves us with little time to focus on things of the spirit and the reason we are here on earth. We are here for a divine purpose and for an appointed time. Someone once said, “If your life does not give God pleasure, you will be under pressure.”
If we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, every other thing that we so desire, will be added unto us, says Matthew 6:33. What does it mean to give God pleasure? To give God pleasure, you have to dwell in His presence. Before you can dwell in His presence, you need to surrender to Him. Before you can surrender everything to him, you have to acknowledge your sins and helplessness.
Living a life that gives God glory and pleasure deflates the pressures of life. Our greatest worship is obedience to his word, which leads to prosperity (1 Chronicles 22:13). Our cover story features a man who has dedicated his life to worship, internationally acclaimed Psalmist, Don Moen. We have Mali Music in the Kingdom Spotlight, focus on love in the 9 Fruits Of The Spirit series, special feature on Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Joyce Meyer’s 12 Strategies To Win.
This issue profiles 5 Kingdom Ministers, namely,Pastor Paula White, World Vision President Dave Toycen, Bishop Tudor Bismark, Pastor Orim Meikle and Pastor Gary Skinner of Watoto Church in Uganda. We also feature characteristics of the palm tree, Bishop Zachary Kakobe, Destiny Love Ball, Pastor Peter Youngren in Kingdom Enterprise, Testimonies, Destiny Passport and Salvation.
We are committed to content that encourages, challenges and builds faith in Christ. We thank all who have supported Destiny Magazine with prayer, content and advertising. Our prayer is that you will live in the fullness of God’s will and enjoy the good of the land, even as your life gives God pleasure. At His Majesty’s Royal Service.
